‘A Domestic Decomposition’ consists of a photographic series which highlights societies’ acceptance of rubbish into our daily lives, as the domestic items seemingly merge with the discarded trash. This work explores the paradox of rubbish as fundamentally being the most natural product of human society, while simultaneously being the most unnatural item on the planet. Through the personalisation of our own acceptance and incorporation of rubbish into our daily lives and even into our homes, we are allowing our indifference to excuse our excessive consumption.
